I'm simply somebody who is increasingly disturbed by the growing propensity of national dialogue to fall apart in the United States. Every day larger numbers of people are using "political correctness" as a all-purpose device the way that alcoholics use alcohol. In disputes on tax policy I read real discourse on one side; the other side rails against the PC Crowd. On education I run into the same thing, reading educational policy on one set of blogs and generic attacks on "PC in education" on the others.
